I’m afraid of the pain associated with detox, how do I maintain privacy during treatment?
Inpatient Treatment - Freedom From Addiction
Q:

I want to stop... I've been taking pills now for years..they are described and some not. I'm afraid to detox because its hurt and I don't want anyone to know I have a problem so Inpatient isn't an option.

A:

Hi Carla. It is important that you are medically supervised while coming off of certain medications and drugs. You did not share which medications you are on, and I am not a Medical Physician, but I do recommend you consult one before stopping or weaning off. If inpatient treatment is not an option, there are some outpatient detox programs as well as outpatient therapy to help you understand your drug abuse and refrain from using in the future. Please let me know if you need help in finding a program or provider in your area. Thank you for reaching out
